Thursday in the NBA features a 5 game slate full of playoff bound teams fighting for positioning. This slate features a few studs along with plenty of viable options in the mid-tier. Here I break down the best plays at each position that you can use for cash games and in GPP’s.

PG Russell Westbrook (OKC vs PHO, $11,800)

On this short slate, Russ is the only player priced above $10,000 and rightfully so. Tonight, Westbrook matches up across from Elfrid Payton, who he has taken advantage of time after time. Russ dropped 76.5 DK points in the last outing and we can see that continuing tonight. He is the perfect way to start a cash lineup.

SG Klay Thompson (GS vs SA, $6,100)

In a battle out west, Klay draws a favorable matchup against the San Antonio Spurs who have been bottom 10 defensively against SG’s in the last 5 games. Look for him to continue to produce steady DK points, especially at this price point. Strong cash play with GPP upside if he gets hot from 3.

SG/SF Josh Richardson (MIA vs PHI, $5,300)

I will be paying down at small forward tonight due to stars being priced too high and in difficult matchups. This leads us right to Josh Richardson who draws a beautiful matchup against the 76ers who have been bottom 3 against the small forward position in the past 10 games. Richardson offers safe minutes and 6-7x upside. Lock him into cash and GPP lineups with confidence.

PF/C Draymond Green (GS vs SA, $7,300)

Power forward is extremely thin tonight. I will be looking at Draymond Green who is priced down and in a great spot. Not many will look at this play either because of the matchup against the Spurs. However, in the last 5 games, the Spurs have been bottom 2 against the power forward position. The last time these two teams squared off, Draymond notched 48 DK points which was good enough for over 6x value. Consider him a strong GPP play given his price point.

PF/C LaMarcus Aldridge (SA @ GS, $7,700)

With Pau Gasol out, LaMarcus Aldridge presumably enters the center spot for the Spurs. When Gasol is off the court, Aldridge takes on a majority of the scoring at the position. The last time Gasol missed back on January 23rd, Aldridge dropped 30 real life points which translated to 49.5 total DK points. Very strong cash play and if he is able to accrue additional stats, he has GPP upside.

SF/PF Justise Winslow (MIA vs PHI, $4,500)

If you’re looking for a value option on the slate, take a look at Justise Winslow. Winslow has been red hot over the past 4 games averaging 32 dk points in that span. At $4,500, he offers 7-8x value for GPP’s in a dream matchup against the 76ers (see Josh Richardson above).
