We’ve got ten games ahead Wednesday night, and the injury report will play a big role. Here’s a full lineup you can use, with a lot of cheap deeper names featuring this week including Jordan Bell in a must-start revenge game with Draymond Green on the shelf.
SG/SF DeMar DeRozan TOR $8.6K vs Detroit
DeRozan continues to perform at an MVP level, and the DraftKings pricing hasn’t quite caught up yet. He’s averaging 31 points, four boards, and six assists over the past eight games, and he could benefit Wednesday with Detroit’s best perimeter defenders Avery Bradley and Stanley Johnson both banged up and questionable. Costco Kobe has scored 35+ in four of his last eight and could do it again.
SF Paul George OKC $7.5K vs Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are a lot of fun to watch, but they’re not exactly good on defense. Brandon Ingram is back from injury and that should actually help PG, who no doubt wants to prove to all Lakers fans watching that he’s a worthy face of their franchise in case he heads west this summer. George had 24 points against the Lakers earlier this month, and he’s averaged 25/5 against Ingram in his career. He could be ready to show out for L.A. fans.
PG/SG Donovan Mitchell UTA $7.3K vs Sacramento
The Kings are the worst defense in the league, and Mitchell may have something to prove against fellow rookie De’Aaron Fox. In ten games since missing a couple games to injury, Spida is scoring at a blistering 22.8ppg with 23 threes and 15 steals over that stretch. He’ll continue to make his case for Rookie of the Year.
PG/SG Spencer Dinwiddie BKN $6.5K vs San Antonio
D’Angelo Russell is not quite ready to make his return just yet, so Dinwiddie gets another chance to shine. He’s put up 17 points, six assists, and two threes a game over the past seven, and that includes two stinkers with single-digit points. Those disappearing acts make him a bit of a risk, but they also keep his price down and give you a high reward.
PG Ish Smith DET $5.8K vs Toronto
Detroit is all sorts of banged up with Reggie Jackson out and Avery Bradley, Luke Kennard, and Stanley Johnson all questionable against the Raptors. Smith has filled in admirably over the past ten games, averaging a 14/4/5 line, and he’s coming off a 19-point 10-assist game that’s his best of the season. He should have the green light early and often here.
PG/SG Zach LaVine CHI $5.1K vs Golden State
LaVine is still on his way back, but so is his price. He’s scored 32 points in 39 minutes for the Bulls over two games, shooting frequently and putting up seven assists as well. Don’t be surprised if he gets some extra run in a high-scoring affair with the Warriors and a chance to really put himself on the map.
PF/C Jordan Bell GSW $4.5K vs Chicago
Bell is your low-cost must start of the night. Draymond Green is officially out for the game, so Bell should get the start and bigger minutes than usual. He averages 25 minutes a game with Draymond sidelined and fills up the box score in those games with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks a game. You may remember the Bulls drafted and sold Bell to the Warriors in June. The first time he played them, the chip on his shoulder led to a monster 7/6/4/2/6 line. Get him in your lineup.
PF/C Montrezl Harrell LAC $4.5K vs Denver
DeAndre Jordan is out Wednesday night and that should unleash Harrell for another big game. He’s averaging 17 points and six boards over the past three games, playing big minutes for a thin Clippers team, and his versatility fills up the box score line.
